A Patient's Plea: Please … Stop Calling It Heart Failure!

      In 2015, I became so ill and short of breath that I needed to go to the emergency room. There I was told for the first time that my heart was not pumping normally. I was enrolled in the congestive heart failure (CHF) clinic. My immediate reaction was, “Heart failure … how long do I have?”
